Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was unique in that it offered a room with two single beds put together to create a double bed, which was a rare find. However, the view from the room was of an extractor from an Indian restaurant, and the presence of a nearby building and roof obstructed any external view from the window.
The hotel was tucked away enough to avoid music from functions but had excellent reception staff. The rooms were lush, large, clean, and modern. Service was quite attentive and friendly with efficient staff. The location was great for events but not suitable for children. The dining options were varied, with a mix of good and bad experiences.
The hotel room was very clean, room service was available, and clean towels were offered on the second day. However, the room had only one chair, and there was not enough room to physically sit anywhere except on the bed. The view from the room was of an extractor from the Indian restaurant. Overall, the room felt tired and not worth the £98 price tag.
The hotel room was uncomfortably hot, with noisy music outside late into the night, preventing us from opening the windows and leading to a sleepless night, even causing dehydration for my son before a crucial world championship fight. However, the room size was good, and the bathroom was adequate though cold.
The hotel had some drawbacks like long walks to the rooms through unrenovated corridors, small room size, and issues with air conditioning. However, the friendly service, free drinks upon arrival, and helpful staff made the stay more positive. The location was convenient for the motorway but had some noisy aspects like a nearby wedding event in the evening. Some improvements in the dining area and availability of basic amenities were noted as necessary.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms are lovely, modern, and comfortable, but a bit on the small side and non-refundable. The service is a blend of very friendly and accommodating experiences with some instances of rudeness and dismissiveness. The location, though not the best, still ensures an amazing stay. The dining experience varies from extremely helpful and good to downright appalling. Overall, the hotel has its highlights and drawbacks to consider.
